The Spear is a 1978 novel by British author James Herbert dealing with Nazi occultism and the Holy Lance.
Herbert's hero is Steadman, a British agent who has worked with Mossad in the past and now runs his own security service. He is approached by old contacts from Israel to help find a young agent who has gone missing in Britain, and soon finds himself pitted against a mysterious neo-Nazi group.
